As a Nebraskan I find these "tips" to be extreme. I've watched thousands of thunderstorms over the years and apparently broken every rule possible. All this does is create fear for something that is beautiful if viewed safely. Stay away from windows? WTF? I sit in the garage with my kids and watch these bad boys. Obviously don't go stand under a tree or out in the open with lightening striking all around, but come on man.
