Implications of Nebraska parents lawsuit

How about all the other sports, businesses, academic programs that are around because of football. The small businesses in Lincoln that will close, the player who's been busting his ass and is due a good season.

All for a virus that is weakening and it appears that herd immunity is here. It's a ploy to sell vaccines and get more control over us.
These unfortunate circumstances are occurring in every college town where football won't be played this fall, and it's awful. But only in Nebraska is the former Speaker of the Legislature threatening to take up Federal Court time with a frivolous lawsuit that has no chance of success.

If somehow we got a NE judge to get an injunction and say NU can play football, would the university play? Would the B1G kick us out? Would other teams back us and attempt to do the same?

It would make for some great drama and hopefully some football this fall bc we all know that chances of winter/spring football is slim with the current leadership.

The university would have to file that but it would be thrown out regardless. The only way football could be played is if there is enough public pressure to do so and the Big10 willingly changes course.

Since the letter from Flood was specifically directed to BIG, not to the member institutions, I don't know why OSU or any other universities would fire up the copy machines.
You asked a good question and I didn't see your response for several days. Appears that Flood is a good lawyer. From afar in Ohio, seems easier to simply FOIA the state institutions, which almost certainly he is also doing.

Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if many "cockroaches" come scurrying out during discovery. Possible that enough will come out for B1G to decide a fall season is less hassle than the embarrassment of putting the B1G's flawed decision making procedures on full public display.
