Would he has surpassed Bear Bryant or Knute at the top of the college football world?

Knute Rockne
13 years
105-12-5 and 5 National Titles

Bear Bryant
38 years
323-85-17 and 6 National Titles

Tom Osborne
25 years
255-49-3 and 3 National Titles

From what I can see Tom has the best winning percentage for division 1 coaches with over 20 years. His last five years he went 60-3 and got those three Titles. All us Husker fans know this. And we know Frank's record along with his title shot in 2001. But some forget after the Bowl game with the demolition of Tennessee we were considered the hottest team in the Nation and finished second and third in the polls. If you add Solich's 6 years to Osborne's record it is...
31years
313-68-3 and 3 National Titles

I know he promised Frank the job and was probably burned out a little after 1997. But to give it up for Congress and a run at the governor's office is head scratching. Jesus, just think of how many more National Titles he could of won... at least two more!
