If you had an extra $250,000 to burn…

Hilarious the owner didn’t want to hire any number of white, ex military, with sub experience as they weren’t “inspirational”. Hope the dork is enjoying all that inspiration where ever he is now.

We know where he is - he's trapped in the bottom of the ocean and facing imminent death if he hasn't croaked already.

I just heard today there is a possibility when things went south on the descent they could have released weights and been buoyant enough to rise to the surface. But the hatch cannot be unlatched from the inside, it is bolted on from the outside. So they could be floating around on the surface, but unable to open the door to get fresh air.

I was really close to getting one of those. Heard later they were actually cardboard.

The real question is what would you buy with the 1/2 to 3/4 million made off of the people who are now dead in the sub?

Is that standard on submarines? No opening from inside?

Not sure if correct but someone bolts them in with 17 bolts. Sounds wonderful.

I also don't understand how the search area is so big. Wouldn't a ship drop them off essentially on top of the shipwreck? The whole thing sounds stupid. Couldn't a ship essentially track them from above? Depth finder on my boat could track a sub in a couple hundred feet. Have to imagine they make ones that go deeper.

50 something white guy (Coast Guard admiral) answering questions now. They found Titan submersible debris 1600 ft from Titanic.
They sent a raggedy ass submarine to the bottom of the ocean with many parts off the shelf. What could possibly go wrong? Not very inspirational if you ask me, unless inspirational is a euphemism for stupid
