What about Nebraska scares you? There are some good wide receivers, but nobody that just can't be covered. The QB run/scramble game hasn't really been a factor. No real threat in the return game. No DL that has to be double teamed every play. They don't block kicks or pull out a lot of trick plays. What scares you if you are the opposing team?

armstrong running, westercamp receiving , and our fullback. them 3 seem like the biggest threat to watch lately.

Those are the biggest threats but I don't think they "scare" anyone. For me as an opposing coach it would the concern that for one game they will put it all together and play a lights out game in all three areas and I wouldn't want it to be my team that plays them when/if it happens.

Getting a first down in the last 2 min of the game. THAT would scare the hell outta me!

The deep ball, so take it away and make TA throw short, where he isnt comfortable, and doesn't seem to go through progressions well. Not saying I'd fear it, but it seems to be what TA wants to do.

Westercamp is a solid receiver, but he is at best our third best playmaker at that position behind a healthier DPE, Stanley Morgan and possibly even Moore. DPE and Stanley should be on the field most all of the time, with Westercamp in the slot. That is scary.

Plays breaking down and TA improvising.

Even then, the decision making that happens on the fly with TA is sketchy.

I agree with 22*43*51. TA improvising is the only thing in my opinion. We don't seem to have a dominant, take over the game, threat this season. Abdullah had it last year. DPE may get there.

The thought that Nebraska may commit to the run game scares me.

I'd be concerned if Nebraska were to stick with inside/outside zone, power, counter, fullback trap, and jet sweep, especially they were out the same or similar sets. Because off those plays Tommy can run qb sweeps, reads and counters off the run action, probably for big yards. Then once the safeties are pulled up into the box, you have 1v1 match-ups on DPE, Westercamp, and a good set of complimentary receivers.

That's a lot to stop and I'd be worried about it.

If Nebraska wants to be balanced and throw it 30 times, I'm not worried. If I'm a DC, my bet is that Tommy can't beat me with vertical routes and timing throws, and I want Langsdorf to try to beat me that way.

Nothing would scare me. I would put a lot of pressure on TA because of his tendency to panic and throw INT's. On offense I would throw the ball 70 times. The D-Line is too thin to stay fresh the whole game, and the secondary looks like a Chinese fire drill. (No offense to the Chinese). Keep it close for 3 quarters, and the 4th would be ours.
