If Riley would have put a pro-style QB last year such as POB in at QB and moved Tommy Armstrong to WR or all purpose back, do you think things would be different year two, and three. That would give us a chance to have this fully pro-style system infused a lot earlier. POB ran a similar offense in highschool and was selected in the Elite 11 competition, which says he was well above average skill wise. I think the OL would be a lot further along in their pass protection if they had been protecting a pocket QB this whole time.
I know that having Tommy Armstrong at QB gave us a lot of advantages but not fitting into Riley's system hurt a lot too. I just think if he had a time machine Riley might have done it this way.
