Lodging arranged. I know there is a Bluegrass festival at St. Mary's Glacier on the 20th. Know Central Cty a few clicks away but I liked it far better 30 years ago. We are hikers but heart surgery in 2011 will not get me acclimated . We intend to fish a bit but Echo Lake does not sound to productive.
Any ideas for short 5 mile RT hikes in region ? Staying @ Columbine inn Sat then on Mt Evans rd @ Call of Canyons cabins next 2 nights. Perhaps a better trout fishery than Echo ? Is a trip to Georgetown worthwhile for a day trip or just like I Springs?
We go every year for 40+ Estes every year, Creede, and Routt Co. Only have passed thru this area so don't know it well.
