I was wrong about Frost

He was the guy I wanted and was willing to give him time to fix things and build a winning program. But now that we are year 4, there's no sign of progress or a winning product being produced. It's time to cut Frost lose and fire him. The longer we wait to do that the more drama that will be created so just cut bait asap, promote an interim head coach the rest of the season, and go out and start the new coaching search.

I thought playing for Osborne and working as a GA with Bill Snyder would have taught him about the importance of fundamentals and being detail-oriented. But obviously he has not figured that out here, and his team continues to do the dumbest possible garbage to lose
At the time it was the right move. Almost any program in the country would have taken him then.
I can't blame the hire, but its not working and it's time to try again. Trev needs to go and find a proven guy who has coached at some level in the B1G. Hell maybe we can grab Brett from Illinois. Lol

I don't know if I've been living under a rock or what but all the character allegations just came to my attention this week and I was like holy cow.

IF these things are true....
1) chasing tail at gate 25
2) frequent using of apartment above 25
3) boozer
4) getting thrown out of a country club
5) basically being a dick in public

Ultimately leading to his wife leaving him and going back to Florida

You know what you're getting into when you marry a Coach....long hours etc. But those long hours should be spent in the office working.

IF allegations are true then he chose to fail. You can't preach doing things the right way and then don't do things the right way yourself and expect to hold kids and staff accountable

IF allegations are true then my gut feeling is Trev Alberts was brought in to swing the axe and find a way to use just cause to not pay Frost his buyout. Yes the NCAA infractions investigation began before Trev was hired. But that doesn't mean the ball wasn't set in motion with an intention. We'll see.

Year 4 ZERO improvement?? I'm done.... probably and most likely. Definitely if above allegations are true. Good luck Trev.
I would like to know if this stuff is true as well.

I thought we were hiring a mature man focused on building a consistent winning football program, not a young "bro" looking to score some strange and get loaded.

Guess I’ve been living under a rock also. If any of the accusations are turn he needs to go, no wonder his teams reflect him. I do remember in either 96 or 97 i know Tom had to strongly remind him stop going to the casinos in Iowa and gamble
from what I understand frost was frequently seen at the boats gambling

Dammon Benning, if you read this thread and this post, I'd like to say you were right about Scott Frost when many of us were wanting to hire him.

Benning knew better somehow and was warning us before he was hired that he wasn't the answer for various reasons. Benning was right.

I was on record saying I didn't want Frost, but never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen.

What did Benning say about him?
Not the type of guy that us fans were saying - questionable discipline, questionable character issues, not well-liked by a lot of former teammates, isn't going to run the systems needed, and that type of stuff.

He kept saying Frost wasn't the answer.

Thanks. I have been out there for games before. Been in the weight room. Awesome place.

Fair. Tommie was never sold, either.

There's nothing in there that would be just cause for the buyout. Even the investigation, I don't know if there's a whole lot in there that would prevent Frost from getting his buyout.

Also being a womanizer doesn't prevent someone from being successful. Bob Devaney was a womanizer and a drinker, and he was very successful. These allegations really have nothing to do with what happens on the field.

I hear you. The difference is that I don't ever recall devaney going around saying we're going to have to change the culture and get rid of players blah blah blah. Need players that do things the right way.

Devaney would say we want kids that'll work hard and knock people's heads off. But saying it in his smiling pat you on your back I would sure like to have a donation Irish mentality.

😂
