I think you're right. The depth we've fallen was inconceivable to Wannstedt, shell shocked as the rest of us.
One of the most boring, yet exciting games I've been to in Lincoln was when Wannstache brought Pittsburgh to Lincoln to play Nebraska and HCBC in 2005. 7-6 final score on a blustery day. I think the huge flag tore lose and spent most of the day hanging in the wind. Good times.
Who could forget the long snapper snapping it off the holders helmet into the kickers hands and then still getting a second chance at a FG? Then we blocked the next attempt to hold on.
