I am a Nebraska Cornhusker fan.
I have been a fan since likely the Game of the Century on a Thanksgiving Day in 1971. My fandom was cemented in a dramatic Husker victory over Oklahoma in November of 1978. My fandom was challenged with heartbreak in January of 1984 in a 1 point loss in Miami. My fandom was on display in rushing the field in victories over Oklahoma on a frigid November day in 1993 and at the end of the Husker's 200th consecutive sellout game against Colorado on a brisk October day in 1994. My fandom will again be on full scarlet and cream display this fall when I make my annual trip to Lincoln on a glorious Saturday this fall.
The Huskers are my then, they are my now and they are my future.
