Purdue has five hits to our one hit. Following Nebraska's sole hit, we hit into a DP. What else? Purdue pitcher has just one K and many simple ground outs.

Scoreless 4th. Someone tell me where this Purdue pitching is coming from. We're chopping grounders to the infield and now Darby swings thru for strike three ending the inning and stranding a walked base runner.

Yeah, that didn't take long. Purdue blows up the T 6th with four straight hits starting with a solo homer. Then they get more hits, some walks including an RBI walk and more hits.

Burkamper gone early, Chestnut in and out, King in and out, Meyers finishes the inning.

9-2 Purdue. Welp, now we can't even pitch.

Did I mention Purdue leads the B1G in Ks at the plate?

Yes, we will likely back into the B1G tourney only because it's unlikely Minnesota will sweep Michigan State. But I can't see us going very far. Right now, this looks like a team that just wants it to be over.

Wow, didn't see this coming, pitching has been great all year and they let the frustration of the bad offense get to them. King is also not a bullpen guy and should be a starter only. Oh well, I guess we can hope and pray for a great showing in Illinois?
