No stats on a couple guys, but Stroh (4-0, 1.86 ERA) and Kissack (2-2, 2.18 ERA) are off to solid starts.

Some guys apparently not playing this summer. Hagge, Hammitt, Klenke, etc
Sometimes it's not a bad thing to take a break (especially riding buses, late nights, ham and mayo sandwiches, etc.). Hopefully they are putting in work in the weight room and in the cages.

Have to assume that roster attrition plays a role too.

If that ain't a compliment.

Surprised we haven't heard of any player loses with the coaching change.
Seems like everyone wants to give it their best shot for the new staff.
If you ain't perfecting your skills,
you better be doing something...
because your competition is :p
I'm guessing after Fall Ball we may see that attrition you mention 31.

Looks like Brett Hammitt transferred already according to TOS.

Rumor is Palkert has hung it up. Not anything I heard myself but someone mentioned it on RSS. Also stated a couple others are considering leaving but haven’t heard anything for sure.

Stroh is now 6-1 with a 1.25 ERA. Summer stats aren't exactly make or break, but it looks like we definitely have a strong contender for a weekend spot.
Oh man, round two of me getting excited for this kid (I didn't realize before last season he was just a regular transfer and not a grad transfer).

At the conference tourney in Bloomington a few years ago (that one where we had double-digit hits (all singles) and scored zero runs against eventual champion Iowa), I happened to sit next to his mom, aunt, and cousin. Great family to talk to, happy to have him on the team.
