Big Ten Preseason Coaches Poll
1. Nebraska

ROSEMONT, Ill. – Nebraska was voted the preseason favorite to claim the 2022 Big Ten Baseball Championship as selected by the conference coaches and announced on Thursday. The coaches voted on the top six teams and also selected three students from their own squads to a Preseason Honors list.

The Huskers were followed in the preseason poll by Michigan in second place and No. 3 Iowa,
No. 4 Maryland, No. 5 Ohio State and No. 6 Indiana.

Nebraska enters the season as the top-ranked team in the Big Ten Conference, while ranking among the top-25 in a trio of national preseason polls. The Huskers were ranked No. 20 by Baseball America, No. 22 by Perfect Game and No. 25 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's (NCBWA) preseason poll. Nebraska is coming off a regular-season Big Ten title and the program’s first NCAA Regional Final appearance since 2007 after going 34-14 (31-12 Big Ten) in 2021.

The 2022 Big Ten baseball season is set to begin Friday. The preseason poll, featuring the top six teams, and the complete Preseason Honors list can be found below.
