Played with Schanaman in high school. Dude can flat out fly, but that I mean faster & quicker than Hallmark. He'll be the fastest Husker I can ever recall. Offensive numbers aren't great at Kansas. Defensively, he's extremely good so hopefully Harvell can get better production.

I like this pickup because options are always good. If Everitt doesn't return, Z Johnson can concentrate more at catcher vs in the OF.

Looks like a career .257 hitter and a singles type hitter. Good OBP.

.263 would have been the 4th best batting average (5th if you include Gomes) on our team this year.

.263 is just fine if that speed is as legit as OP says. The defensive value + threat on bases makes .263 pretty dangerous (singles turn into "doubles or triples" after SB's)
I think worst case scenario he's a solid 4th OF than can run in the late innings and come in as a defensive replacement. Best case he's our leadoff hitter for 56 games.

Bertrand from Minnesota is who I referred a few times this season as a proven portal transfer, with legit interest in Nebraska. But instead, we grab this guy from KU. Figured I'd share it now that it seems the door is closed.

Yeah, Burnham probably covers a lot of ground in center, which is important, but if he can't hit the coaches won't be able to play him. I saw that he had high OBP but as you know that's gimmicky and can be shut down by good teams. Here's hoping that Burnham takes the next step with his bat this summer. Otherwise, he'll be a nice PR late in games and defensive replacement. If all he and Efry are are defensive replacements late in games, it's still a net positive IMO.
