i just watched Chad Red Jr (is that correct?) and hes what 182-0 and hes out of Indiana. I watched him win the state champ against a kid that was a 2 time state champ in the weight class below but wrestled up this year. He controlled the matched and looked very good. We got a great one comming in

That Chad Redd is very good, the kid he beat for the state championship was a Penn State commit and already beat a guy thats going to Michigan. So we got a very top tier wrestler in this kid. And state champ match he was in was 132 pounds i believe. So they must be planning to add weight to this beast.

I know nothing about wrestling recruiting. I was wondering if Nebraska tried to recruit the kid from Prep, I think it was, that is going to Iowa? Or, there was a another kid going to Iowa state. Are these big swing and misses?

I don't know who their targets were, but much of it depends on how loaded they are at certain weights. With only 9.9 scholarships available, it gets pretty difficult to offer everyone you would like to. I would loved to have had Zemua Baptista in Husker Red, but that is because I know the young man's team and his character. Iowa State probably had more scholarship money available for that weight class than Nebraska. Maybe a 3/4 scholarship at ISU vs. a 1/2 scholarship at Nebraska, for example. Full rides are very very rare in non-revenue sports.
