Husker volleyball recruit Ally Batenhorst is named the Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year. She has also picked up accolades as the Texas Class 6A Player of the Year and has been named first team high school All-American by Under Armour, VolleyballMag and MaxPreps.
She is the fourth Husker to win the Gatorade NPOY award, joining Gina Mancuso (2008-09), Mikaela Foecke (2014-15) and Lexi Sun (2016-17).
NU's incoming 2021 freshman class will include four Gatorade State Players of the Year in addition to Batenhorst (Texas), including Lindsay Krause (Nebraska), Kennedi Orr (Minnesota) and Lexi Rodriguez (Illinois).
