Husker fans - Is Crymsonsteel is a troll poster on this board?

Before I tell you why I'm here, let me just make sure anyone who is reading this understands a few things: 1). I like Nebraska 2). I like Mike Reilly 3) I like Nebraska fans 4) I root for Nebraska outside of them playing Ohio State 5) #4 - leads me into my segway - after I copy and paste what Crymsonsteel said - it's important you understand it has nothing to do with the fact that he's picking Nebraska to beat Ohio State. Neb very well might win...

After watching this game today if we get Westerkamp, Moore and hopefully Carter back for OSU, our receiving corps is gonna make OSU's secondary look like fools and Armstrong is gonna have a heydey running the ball. Game goes into the 4th OSU loses period. People can chastise me all day long, but from what I have been watching today OSU's D will have zero success against our Offense as they have faced nothing all year like what we will be shoving down their throat. The D will show up for this game and I can see us picking off 3 maybe 4 of their passes. We have a habit this year either playing up or down to our opponents. Huskers will play their best game they've played all year at the Horseshoe and come out of Columbus with a win. No Homer and definitely not drinkin the Kool-aide either. OSU is very, very beatible!! I just hope Wisconsin doesn't beat them next week before we get to em.

Sorry I misspelled Mike's last name, but that doesn't make me a troll. My post stands.
 
He does not post on here that much. About 1100 posts in 10 years. What he posts is an exaggeration that does not reflect the opinion of most people on here, even the ones who think we will beat you.
But that doesn't make him a troll either. Just makes him an optimist.
Why do you care? If you read this board it is pretty obvious he is not representative of the majority.
So my post stands too: you seem like a troll

I rarely post here - so I don't know anything about this guy. Simple questions mainly to him. So based on what I wrote, which I think was very plausible and respectful, why does that make me a troll? (not that I care you think I am one :)
 
Is it a little bit(OK maybe more than a little bit) over the top with the optimism? Sure. But it was posted on our board. I could understand you being upset if he had gone over to your board and posted that just to start an argument, but you should expect to get an outlook like that on that teams' board. I don't read other teams' boards on a regular basis because I assume I'm not going to always get a very positive reading on my team from another team's board. Personally, I'll take what he said any day over some of the doom and gloom from people on here.

If it was posted on an Ohio State board, it falls into the category of total jackassery.

If it was on a Nebraska site................ I think you will find a lot of homers on any team's site.

You will find that most posters up here hold a lot of respect for the Ohio State program.

No. You are not a troll. Cyrmsonsteel is just optimistic. That doesn't make him a troll. Now, going on your site just to say that may deserve some push back by a prideful OSU family. You guys have have been on top (Top 10) for a while now. You've got the recent hardware to back it up. Don't come to me though and say Illinois 3rd quarter crap. Sounds like you don't know what you are talking about. I never said we are world beaters, but can we beat OSU? Possible. Will OSU win this year? Probably. That's all that needs to be said. We respect you. You should respect us. We're beat up with shallow depth. You've got us outgunned. But no, we are not Illinois. We're embarrassed to be compared to Iowa. But we are what we are. At this point we just hope to be competitive. 5-0 is a lot better than 2-3. If you think that Crymsonsteel is out of his mind just say so (in that thread) and leave it there. Unless he's name calling why do you care to make this post over here? Anyways, I've seen a few of our troll other boards and that is not it. Crymson is just a super sunshine pumper. Nothing wrong with that. Just remind him nicely that he is just that and get on with your day. We're not Indiana so no, you can't remind us of our place in the conference.

I was simply interested to hear Crymsonsteel's reasoning behind his statements. Is that what message boards have become...only a forum for the home team? I came here with simple questions for him mainly. I was respectful and nice. If I'm not allowed to do that....then I will leave. Geez.

I don't think you're a troll-I just find it strange that you got upset enough about a Husker fan's post on a Husker message board to make a post about it yourself. Probably best to worry about what is said on your boards and let us worry about what is said on our board.

We're not where we need to be yet in terms of talent. Losing 4 guys from last year from the interior DLine has hurt our talent and depth a fair amount, as has our LB play. Just not strong enough against the run, so that will be magnified over the latter half of the season, where our schedule gets more difficult.

The injuries will have 3 starters or co-starters on offense out for the Indiana game, with 5 more on offense that still won't be at 100%. That's a lot of guys injured, and it will hurt production.

If we were healthy, I would be a little nervous about the Indiana game. As is, I'm very nervous about the Indiana game.

If we get healthy, I think we'll be able to move the ball on Ohio State. It's stopping you guys that worries me.

Let me add, Michigan will beat OSU this year. I hope JT stays healthy until the game because i see Urban is back to running his QB 25 times a game because you can't pass.

I think we may get rocked. We still tend to struggle with that type of offense. We aren't going to get rocked like we did with Pelini, but that game is going to be a struggle for us. I just hope its respectable that way the team maintains its confidence. I'd rather perform ok and lose, but then have some confidence in the title game against you guys for round 2. I'd much rather take the championship game fluke win vs. regular season.
