Husker Baseball Scrimmage to Be Streamed on Wednesday

Lincoln –
Baseball fans will have another opportunity to see the 2021 Nebraska baseball team on the field this Wednesday afternoon, as the Husker Sports Network and Nebraska Athletics are partnering to stream the Huskers’ scrimmage.

Wednesday’s scrimmage will start around 3:30 p.m. and fans can watch all of the action on the Huskers’ social channels, including Twitter (@Huskers), Facebook (facebook.com/huskers) and on Huskers.com with Ben McLaughlin on the call.

Wednesday’s scrimmage highlights the final week of fall drills for the Huskers, who have been practicing over the last month. It will be the Huskers’ second live streamed scrimmage this fall, as the first one had over 38,000 views on Facebook back in mid-September.

The Huskers, who closed the abbreviated 2020 campaign with wins in six of their last seven contests to finish with a 7-8 mark, welcome back eight of their top 10 hitters from a year ago, led by freshman Leighton Banjoff (.341/4/13) and senior Joe Acker (.306/2/8). On the mound, the Husker return five of their top six pitchers in terms of innings pitched a year ago.
