Surprised Purdue played at all. There was a cloud spotted within 100 miles of West Lafayette.
Are they safe to make the conference tournament
Io_a gets swept at home by the Ducks to lose the reg. season B1G title.
B1G baseball is sooooo bad traditionally...and currently. Pac 10 newcomers finish 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th. We'll see if the west coasters dominate in Omaha at the conf. tournament & beyond.
Kinda like their football team. Not bad but definitely benefitted from an easy conference schedule. Exposed when they finally played the better teams.Love seeing Iowa choke the big 10 championship away, all they needed was one win. Iowa sucks
This is about making sure top seeds still get in the NCAA tournament. The last thing they want is tha 8-12 seed knocking out usc in the pool play and losing that bid. Heck only Oregon and ucla are guaranteed a spot.Everyone is guaranteed to play two games any tie breaker in the pool will go to the higher seed.
Not like the original tournament of 8 teams which makes more sense than 12 teams, but it’s about getting more B1G teams to play in the stadium were the CWS is played.
The format is completely stupid. It's really single elimination with a meaningless game thrown in. Look at our pod. This is about making sure top seeds still get in the NCAA tournament. Pack your winter gear boys and girls, going to feel more like late fall I’m afraid.
Of course but this makes it where if you lose a game you could still come back and win it all like Nebraska did last year..This is about making sure top seeds still get in the NCAA tournament. If we take care of businesses in the regular season would be niceOf course but this makes it where if you lose a game you could still come back and win it all like Nebraska did last year..
My opinion with 4 added teams it’s watered down but with these conference getting bigger the double elimination now is only in the NCAA tournament..
That would require a coach that understands that a baseball season is a marathon race, not a sprint. I don't blame Bolt for who he is, a hustler as a player and an immature attitude towards winning baseball. Our offensive woes are partly due to over-ggressiveness on the basepaths. If UNL sticks with him maybe age will cure this somewhat. Also, very disappointed in our pitching staff, coaches and hurlers. If we take care of businesses in the regular season would be nice
Only if you are a top 4 seed. You only play 2 games before the double elim. If Nebraska loses tonight they will be eliminated from going to the double elim because if Oregon then beats Mich St, it's a 3 way tie and the top seed moves on, that is the tiebreaker. If Mich St wins both games they go on.Of course but this makes it where if you lose a game you could still come back and win it all like Nebraska did last year..

Sure glad we used Timmerman tonight instead of against Oregon...
Sure. I believe you try and get the win without our ace tonight so you have a fighting chance on Friday.Oregon game doesn't matter if we don't win this one
You do know if they lose tonight they are out right?Sure. I believe you try and get the win without our ace tonight so you have a fighting chance on Friday.
No, they play an unnecessary second game against Oregon on Friday. You knew that right? You do know if they lose tonight they are out right?
It’s been the Husker MO all year. How about 3 walks and a ball to give MSU another run? Yep.Please tell me the game winning run doesn't come from an unnecessary pick off attempt at second base with the bases loaded.
Tonight is a must win. You know that right? Sorry things seem difficultNo, they play an unnecessary second game against Oregon on Friday. You knew that right?
If the team wins tonight, they don't have Timmerman vs OU. That is the point.
