what's wild about two geriatric rich guys wearing suits and pointing fingers?

Nov 5th, no matter who wins, everyone's lives will be exactly the same as it was Nov 3rd with the exception of those who work in either administration.

people who obsess over who the president is are complete losers. it's a figurehead position with minimal power to change anything for anyone.
dude you are so right. i've lived through so many different presidents with almost no impact on my life. people get so crazy about nothing. the system is set up so changes can only be incremental. no one's life will change on November 5th. you wake up and go to work just like before. LOL at everyone who tries to scare others. those people are the most scared people in the world. scared of a shadow that never comes

Thank goodness for the electoral college. Atleast we have a chance that ny and ca don't control every election. Framers knew what they were doing. Now if ne would change AWAY from unicameral where Lincoln and Omaha dictate the agenda every time
im no expert but the people who make up most of the country can't figure out why montana and wyoming count more than they do. you can turn this around both ways. it is a good question. why do some peoples votes count more than others. im not arguing one way or another just asking what is a pretty good question. and dont give me lecture on constitution. i know why they did it.

I think I understand your question but give me just a little more clarity on how some votes count more than others. Individual or by state? Thanks

It's going to be ugly. Nov 4th won't mean a damn thing other than we probably won't have any clue who won. We know who will win the popular vote but that's unfortunately not the metric we use.
you can move to another country. does mail fraud count in the poplular vote. we will know who won on nov 4 and it wont be a socialist. would be wise to start praying that you dont get what you are asking for.

The virus is real. . The amazing fact that riots and protests don't spread it but eating at Olive Garden does is, well, questionable.
Yeah well maybe if some cops could be competent at their jobs and stop shooting black people for the hell of it, then maybe so many people would stop rioting and protesting. Food for thought.

You don’t see people rioting or protesting firemen because they keep setting people on fire, do you?

Los Angeles county doesn't get to choose the Presidency over folks in Wyoming, Idaho, Alabama or Missouri. You can't run up the score in a highly populated area of the county and declare their voice is what the rest of us have to go by.

I have not understood anyone's reasoning who advocates a change to the electoral college process.

No, I don't. Do you?

I feel like you are missing my point, I am fine with the protesting, do it all day 24/7/365. Hell, you seem passionate about it, so go join and protest too.

I am just shocked that eating at Olive Garden leads to outbreaks of the virus but thousands of people shoulder to shoulder protesting, doesn't.

Ah gotcha. Yeah quite honestly it’s completely ridiculous. So you’re telling me I have to wear a mask in a restaurant but then when I sit down I can take it off... like ok how does that work? Am I “safe” now? Does the virus not come around when I eat?

Bars and restaurants and none of this stuff should have been closed.

I have started to press my luck on the mask mandate...50/50 when it comes to establishments that ask me to put one on. Last week I was in a hotel here in Omaha, not even the lady behind the desk had one on...nor did housekeeping, and not a single customer. Just found it interesting.

Ha...No kidding! It is a mess!

You should see at schools...masks all day EXCEPT when you are eating lunch, or in gym, or at practice...

Because the needs of Nebraska, an ag state are different than the needs of New York&New York City. It helps satisfy geo-political problems that large countries face. Even with the compromise the vote is still skewed towards population

Fun is just beginning for sure, but don't recall Dems saying the election was "stolen" as much as I heard issues with the electoral college and proven Russian attempts to influence results. They won the election by 3M votes, but with our system that doesn't mean you win the seat. If Biden wins this year there will 100% be claims of voter/mail fraud and I agree this will still be going on well into 2021.

Sigh.

At least we have Husker football....oh wait...
Clinton had 4.5 million more votes in California.

Wake up. The dems are already promising riots. That's the new answer to winning elections. It was "stolen" from Hillary by the Russians of course, never mind that is was proven to not be true and her friend was the pres when it was allegedly going on. If you can't win an election fair and square you have to think of something, right? The fun is just beginning.

If the lunatics doing all the riots get the outcome they are seeking America will have told them their destructive tantrums worked and any time there is a politician in a position they don't support they will know exactly what to do.

What will be interesting is to see what happens if they get their wish, yet nothing about their situation changes, after repeatedly being told that a certain bad guy is to blame for all their problems and everything will get better when he is gone.

I'm not a big Trump guy, but it would be awesome to see him do the "bad guy" scene from Scarface as he leaves the office after his term.

That could put the speaker of the house into the presidency if the vote is not conclusion by the third week of January.

Your head
I bet the Italian region of Lombardy will be super pissed that so many had to die due to this hoax. All those Swedes that died for the leftist cause. Empty soccer stadiums throughout the UK just to further the cause. It's really been a mess to coordinate across continents and countries but they did it. New Zealand didnt get the agenda notes from the South Pacific regional Antifa meeting but the evildoers will continue on. Yep Nov 4 is what it's all about. Stupid.....I actually think that it wouldnt matter who is or was President because as a country we have too many that wouldnt follow guidelines because Liberty, Justice, Freedom AND whatever other buzzword one could conjure up to justify not wearing a cloth and keeping distance from each other. We didnt stand a chance from the spread for the beginning.
You have to have enough of a brain to have a more nuanced POV than that

Only if it's a complete landslide, similar to '72 or '84. If it's not, it will get ugly.
If President Trump doesn't get over 500 electoral votes, he will come damn close to it. I've been calling it for over a month now.

On Nov. 4th blue states will be forced to open up. They already know that the federal government will not bail them out for staying shut down for so long. Today's liberal governors are some of the worst this country has produced in it's history.

When you have horrible ideas, a terrible track record and the media can’t pump enough propaganda out to cover for your crappy agenda anymore and the voters reject you .... resort to violence.

Let’s bet $10,000 on it. Just to be fair we’ll make 490 the over/under number. If it’s a push, we’ll flip a coin.

Even at 490 you would have to give him steep odds to make it fair.

VERY true. And I think that is the ultimate goal. Why else would they put a puppet on the ballot
What qualified person would choose to enter politics? Four years ago, neither side could come up with a decent option.

The next two paragraphs are not typed with any poster in mind...... Just been building for the last two months in response to every time I make the mistake to look at one of these threads.

The puppet may actually appoint people to positions who are qualified.... He may actually listen to intelligence reports.... He may actually speak for three sentences without lying... He may actually have Mexico pay for the wall (Ha! made myself laugh).... He may actually not treat the Presidency like a reality show... He may actually have dementia but I trust him more with nuclear codes..... He may actually avoid conspiracy theories instead of creating them....

Do puppets golf 150 days a year? Justify his unethical immoral degrading behavior anyway you want, whether it be 5k in tax breaks, abortion stance, trade deals, fossil fuel retention, his centerfold immigrant wife, your AR15, or your belief that all people are not equal, but stop trying to elevate what we currently have in the White House as something to be proud of. The majority of America is not, and the vast majority of the world thinks less of us now than they did a decade ago.

For anti-snowflakers, a lot of people blinded by the current blizzard. Delete if need be, block whatever

I would have thought that the whole Russian collusion thing would be enough for people to understand why having a popular vote is a bad idea. The entire premise of that argument is that an outside force convinced enough people to vote a certain way. Why would we want more of that?

So you speak for America and the World? Yep, that's the level of narcissism and self-delusion required to be on the left.
Yep... Or the popular vote that has been brought up 8 times in this thread... Or maybe current pres has added more members to his congregation.

I guess I need proof of my claims on the world view: https://www.pewresearch.org/global/...obe-while-views-of-u-s-stay-mostly-favorable/

I am so left... so left... Gotta balance out all of you that are so right, so right... What to do with the independents? I will have to resign my place with them after my previous post.
