Looks like the 1987 Nebraska Oklahoma game.:D With Houston wearing our pants and jersey's.

Love to see the Huskers wear red pants at home once in awhile.

I've never seen such an undisciplined team in OU with all those late hits and cheap shots.

Right now, Houston looks legit. Love watching this exciting style of football.

Houston is a fun team to watch both on offense and defense. Their defense is hitting hard.

Wouldn't mind having Houston's coach. He'll probably be wearing burnt orange after this season.

I doubt it, their was just some big article on how he loves Houston and says he can build a winner there. He's already turned down high profile jobs. Herman signed a new five-year deal with UH worth $3 million per season in December

If Houston doesn't get accepted into the Big12 Herman will leave imo. Without being in a Power 5 conference he won't get a chance to win a National Championship.

Right now Herman is showing that he's too good ofor a coach not to have a shot for a National Championship.

considering they're giving a repeated boot to the head to the best team in that conference at this point....

to be fair, they probably are playing their best game of the year in the first game... it does happen. it's hard to minimize just how big having zero mistakes and 9/10 for 147 yards on third down from their qb is...

That outta do it. Just made that game against OSU in a couple weeks a must win for OU.

also just made houston a frontrunner for a playoff slot. they don't exactly have a clear path but it's by far the easiest path of the bunch and louisville is at home.

Congrats to Tom Herman. The guy is a young TO in my opinion. Football genius and able to get the ultimate out of his team.

Ohio State fans were hoping that when he left for Houston he would be successful and eventually come back to Columbus when Meyer retired. He's going to find himself in a Big Time P5 program long before that happens.

Some have said that Herman turned down those jobs because he's waiting for Texas to open up. He's a Texas native who started his coaching career at UT. The Longhorns offered Saban $10 million/year. They could easily double or triple Herman's salary if they really wanted him.

Also consider that A&M may also be looking for a new coach soon, and the Longhorns are not going to want to see Herman coaching the Aggies.

Just listening to Tom's post game press conference and Greg Ward being interviewed. These guys sound like the 1994-1997 Huskers. Love the guy next to you. Practice is tougher than any game and structured so that dominance will happen in 4Q. You don't rise to the occasion when things get tough you fall to the level of your training which is why we train harder than anyone else. Greg Ward says going against their first team defense is what allows the offense to get better and vis a versa. All sounds familiar if you followed Nebraska during the glory years. Also UH announced that if they join a power five Tom gets a five million dollar bonus check. Houston also has a billionaire backer who isn't going to let them be out bid by Texas.

A lot of good programs and staffs sound like the old Huskers. Isn't it a shame that we had the blueprint and system right here under our noses and we haven't figured it out how to recreate it and many others have?

Although on his way, it might still be too early to call him a football genius. As a member of Mensa however, he qualifies as an actual genius.
