Pass on Peter.this weekend about the 90's era of Husker football. I think Bookie and Mike Brown have alot in common in their style of play.
maybe not peter. dude has lost a few screws.![]()
Well, since they weren't even born, they probably will wonder who these "old dudes" are! As for Jason Peter being excluded by some, sorry, you take the good with the bad. Jason is certainly outspoken about all things Husker football, but he was one of the greatest D-Linemen to ever play at UNL and he certainly gave more of himself to the program than any fan can boast.I hope the recruits wouldn't be thinking to themselves
"who are these guys?"
Is the university doing anything for the 20yr anniversary of the 97 championship? Other than hiring Scott Frost, that is.
Totally forgot about that. The decibel level would probably break records after that speech played on the screen.can you imagine if they played that Orange Bowl speech on the big screen? OMG ...by all means
When we do the 20th anniversary celebration, is there any chance we can get Scott Frost to provide a message on the big screen since he can't be in attendance? The crowd would go wild!
Get 'er done, Guppy!
Which would be a classless thing to do to the current coaching staff... I get it that people are excited about Scott Frost potentially coming home, and I have no problem with that. But last home game for the huskers, these coaches were booed. Cheering euphorically for Scott Frost the very next home game is not something the brass should want to encourage, unless they truly have already made up their minds about the current coaching staff regardless of outcome.Totally forgot about that. So do we ignore the fact he was our quarterback and leader of that team? Do we ignore an impassioned speech that influenced some voters? Do we make sure he doesn't get mentioned...his picture doesn't get shown...he is little more than an afterthought? Where do you draw the line?Which would be a classless thing to do to the current coaching staff... Scott will have his day in the sun if we fire Riley and bring Frost in. Let the cheering happen then.
You went full tilt on showing the video... I said I didn't think that was a good idea. Sorry you disagree. Where did I say don't mention his name? Don't show his picture? So do we ignore the fact he was our quarterback and leader of that team? Do we ignore an impassioned speech that influenced some voters? Why didn’t they show a video of Scott Frost, the leader of that 97 team?
Do we ignore the fact that "the greatest fans" called for Frankie London just a year earlier, called Frost a traitor when he took a grad position at K State. Cheering wildly for his Orange Bowl speech would be just a continuation of the tradition of the classless " Greatest Fans" tradition. Do you ever wonder why it may be difficult to attract top talent for the AD or coaching positions? So do we ignore the fact he was our quarterback and leader of that team?
