The one official made a bunch of bad calls in the first half and Hoiberg got on him. That ref has had it out for NU ever since. Embarrassingly poor on the ref’s part.
Maybe Mast should have not been saying that stuff? Bad take in regards to how this game has gone and signals they don’t care how the big ten season goes? Sure hope his attitude is a one-off sort of departure from what the coach and rest of the team thinks.

Yeah but you also have to play better defense, and not give up so many offensive boards.
I think this is partly the result of playing such a soft schedule so far - not ready for solid competition. But hey, there are still people here who like to take their shoes and socks off and count to 20 wins, thinking that = a tourney bid.

A large part of the problem is that we’re having to switch and help. Creighton has too many weapons to help off of anybody.

Creighton just plays significantly better on ball and help defense. It's night and day.

Who knew Oregon State would suck as bad as they do? IF NU was shooting 3s like they have and CU was shooting their normal percentage, this game would be a lot closer. It isn’t like we haven’t gotten good looks. Creighton is draining deep 3s and they’re all doing it. I was afraid of this after watching the first half of their Okie St game.
I thought -4 was a little low for the Jays But was afraid to take them. Didnt think we’d get blown out and look sort of immature in the process. Every possession we got sucked into the paint and left monsters wide open on the arc. Over and over again. Bad coaching it seems, no adjustments

I think Creighton has a chance to be better than they were last year. I’ll be at CHI Health in March with nice seats watching them vs 3rd ranked Marquette as a family member of Marquette’s Oso Ighodaro. Projected a 2nd round NBA pick. Should be a good game
I still think this team has something. You gotta learn to adjust defensively, especially on a team that loves 3’s. If they don’t adjust that it’ll just be another long year.
