Hoiskers 4 point dogs against the Bluejays

I've said on here before that Hoiberg made a big mistake not offering Scheierman out of HS, but I guess the rest of P5 did too. But a home state guy? Sad.

Cray can’t miss right now.. need them to go cold like at the start of the game. Need to start hitting our own threes

Completely predictable that we go ice cold from 3. So frustrating.
Huskers are just not a good half-court offensive team. I know the book on Creighton is to try to slow them down, but you still have to do what you do best on offense. NU needs to get some transition buckets or they won't keep up.

And even if the initial fast break isn't there, attack on a secondary break before the Jays set their defense.

Feels like we should be down 30, so we got that going for us.

0/8. That’s the diff in the game so far.☹️

Despite the woes from 3 point line, we have missed a lot of shots in the paint. Would be about a 4-5 point game if we hit those.

Edit: that was before the refs took over the game for Crayton.

I hate those foul calls when the shooter goes wayyyyy out of his way to crash into the defender. It's one thing if the defender is in or near the shooter's space, but that one was just awful.
Awful stupid officiating.

That last foul call was ridiculous. Jumped in to the defenses back.
It can't feel great as a ref when Creighton will be laughing their asses off in disbelief that they were rewarded for that. McDermott was working them the entire half and it paid off.

Should NOT be a foul. Williams jumped straight up in the air, which is allowed.

Same way they lost to Nebraska last year. It's college basketball and everyone has off nights. This atmosphere should be good for both teams moving forward. Good to play in front of a motivated packed house for both
CSU also plays really scrappy, in-your-shirt defense. That's why they have consecutive wins over Creighton, Colorado and Washington. Huskers (most of them anyway) aren't terrible defensively, but they aren't great.

Bullsh## officiating.
The call on the last 3 of the half...a steaming pile of male cow excrement. Not our day in any aspect, so far. Hoping to not get buried. My confidence in Fred to scheme up anything on the fly to make us more competitive today is not high, either. Dang- was looking forward to today!
