Oregon State is running the ball better than Wisconsin. Wisky is 55th in the nation in rushing...55th!

To be fair...Corey Clement going down was a big injury for them. On the plus side...Stave looks halfway decent which probably means bad news for us.

Wisconsin had a longer successful run than I thought they would, so I will give them props for their recent success, but when they lost Anderson and Gordon, I honestly thought they would struggle mightily (sp?) I can't believe their run last as long as it did, but I think they are now an 8 win program again going forward. I really don't think they can reach those heights again. Anderson and Gordon helped hold off the inevitable IMO. Admission standards, not enough financial support to pay their assistants, and with NU and Michigan getting new coaches along with Meyer hitting his stride, I just don't see a return to the top for them.

They have one distinct and underrated advantage over Nebraska. They're able to sign about 5 to 7 instate players per year.

That was before they made Paul (snore) Chryst the head guy. They will be heading downward.

We'll see. If said high school stud has options, I think he'll be looking at Michigan and Ohio State pretty hard. Cryst won't win very many of those battles. I still say they will not reach the heights they've seen in recent years, and some of their run was lucky. Ohio State losing Tressel and Fickell having to coach for a season, Ohio State being on probation the next year and not eligible, and then kitting pay dirt with Mr. Everything Gordon, all added up to a lot of wins that walked out the door. I think they are a shell of their former selves going forward.
