I see we offered the linebacker from Burke, anybody have some insight? After watching his film I see some domination and great closing speed, the kid get after the baller carrier. The frame to add weight at 6'4", I would think Diaco and Co. see there next great OLB.

Someone on the Iowa boards that lives in Omaha knows the family and said they are Hawk fans. Not that it means anything. Just sharing info.
I thought for sure any kid who lived in Nebraska who was offered by them was an automatic lock, but it changes things when family has connections to a different school.
While Henrichs does not have an overly impressive offer list at this point, I do trust this defensive staff to offer to the right kids.

Sorry I guess I've lost how far Nebraska has dropped off. I thought for sure a kid who grew up in Nebraska would go there in a heartbeat. I see I'm wrong.

Okay well I'll assume now for kids who live in Lincoln but their dad got a business degree from Vanderbilt that they'll be a strong Vandy lean instead of Nebraska.
Regardless of where somebody lives, having a parent that played a sport at another school can make a difference in their loyalties. That isn't exactly a shock. Only a mouthy Iowa fan apparently doesn't get that.
I had to look up who that was. But no it's not the same, Iowa's stop talent gets plucked out of Iowa more than I would like. Seems like pretty much every top WR in Iowa goes to Michigan. I always thought it was every Nebraksa kids dream to play at Nebraksa(which I consider an impressive thing). And I ask if that's changing and someone gets all up-tight about it apparently.

I agree the Iowa board is toxic right now. I ask a question about how high school kids feel about the program and people right away start whining. The Iowa board is pretty much worthless right now for good content, the Nebraksa board is the most sensitive I've ever seen.

No, we're only sensitive to people who play stupid and act like they're surprised that somebody who had a parent who went to another college just might have some different loyalties than the local team and then suggest that it represents some kind of change as a way to get in some kind of dig at us. Heard that this kid is the real deal. If the perception gets out that he is open to going anywhere, he'll get a lot of impressive offers as time goes by. We'll see, but if it's up to me I'm hoping that he commits to NU early and remains an underrated three star prospect.
Well its like the recruit we have on the team now (Tate Wildeman) that had a father play for Iowas football team and is a Iowa legacy but yet he picks Nebraska. But thats because of our coaches and team, too but more so because of relationships with our DC. Point being normally kids follow there parents footsteps but there's exceptions like KeShawn Jonhson Jr and Tate Wildeman but then its because of great relationships with one certain coach or coaches then sway them.
