Most BIG football fans have probably heard about The Wave, where Hawkeye fans and visitors turn and wave at the kids in the Stead Family Children's Hospital that overlooks Kinnick stadium. This small act means so much to those brave young heroes. The Wave is a finalist for the 2018 Laureus Best Sporting Moment of the Year award. This is an international honor - so the fact that it even made the finals is pretty cool. The kids are currently in first place but the gap is razor thin. There is only a little over a day for voting so we need a big final push to bring this home. Please take a minute of your time and get behind these awesome kids! Go to https://www.mylaureus.com/ to vote. Thanks!

All fan bases have those that struggle with class - Thanks TFraizer for showing 'em how it's done.
Unfortunately your timing is worse than your request. If you have not been here recently it may not make sense. Plus don't take offense but any thing Iowa usually gets the "Iowa sucks" comment.

I would vote for it, but the videos aren't showing up on my phone. So I don't know which one of the five to click on.

Probably why I can't sing or dance worth a shit. You are correct that I haven't been here recently so I I don't get it. Hope whatever issues that have some Huskers in an funk get resolved soon.

Will never get resolved to be honest. It's just a rival attitude when opposing fans show up on each others message boards.

I truly believe "The Wave" was one of the best moments from the entire 2017 Football Season. I helped coordinate a couple of Make-A-Wish campaigns for children in early elementary school several years ago and seeing all the stories about "The Wave" brought back so many great memories.

I haven't really given it much thought to see a Nebraska football game in Iowa City. However, I want to attend a game so I can experience "The Wave" and let the children at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital know that they are in all of our thoughts/prayers.

Here is a video reminder why "The Wave" should cause rival fan bases to come together even if it is for a short period of time.

I hope you make it out to a game. It's truly is amazing, especially because opposing teams, fan and even the refs join in. If only for a few minutes, those kids get to see 70k people cheering them on and if that brings a smile or makes them fight their illnesses a little harder then mission accomplished. BTW night games are even cooler since we wave our lighted cell phone and they wave back.
