Ok, coach puts out over 300 offers for like 20 slots.

1. What occurs before the formal acceptance by the player?

2. When does staff do it’s due diligence concerning academics? Character? Potential?

3. Is it required that player’s offer is a contingent offer?

4. Does Frost require that a player must visit before any acceptance?

Help, I don’t understand the process.

Was Washington’s ACT score sufficient to qualify?

There are offers and there are committable offers.

I’ll try to answer.

1. Not sure what you’re asking,

2. That is ongoing. But conversations are had with HS coaches and Frost and Co are having a lot of talks with the recruit and family.

3. No, if the player is a top the list, the player may be able to accept on the spot.

4. Don’t know. I am positive it would be highly encouraged.

Don’t know about Washington’s test scores.

The process is different for everyone but in general,

Players are identified and evaluated
A board is developed where the players are ranked (very fluid)
Offers are made and the ability for the player to accept the offer is based on where they sit on the board. Ex- if Nebraska is taking 3 OT in a year and you are the number 2 OT on the board, you can probably accept the offer and commit.
As players commit to other schools the board is adjusted.
