Yesterday I talked to one of my best friends who is a head football coach at the class B level in Nebraska. He told me that one of his former players had some information about Williams and McMullen deciding to leave the program.
He basically said the coaching staff helped push them out the door by telling them that their playing time was not going to be handed to them. They basically said the young guys were going to play and he thought the coaches were not disappointed at all that they decided to leave the program.
Obviously this might not be accurate, but if it is, hopefully the coaches know the defensive lineman will be ready to play at very high level this year.
If they are ready and in fact do play at a high level, it could just push us over the top. I don't know if this is accurate or not, but a guy can dream can't he?
