Hawaii LB'er visiting next weekend [Banker currently in Hawaii]

They also visited a LB (Ward) the article said they are taking 3 in this class. With Hampton & Roberts already committed, and is visiting a few other LB's I don't see Johnson coming to Lincoln. Don't know if about the Hawaiian kid at all... anyone have some film?

Anyone know or have an idea, how decent could Hawaii be if they could keep all (most) of their recruits at home? It seems like they have a decent number of good high school players each year.

I live in Honolulu and watch the local high school football games on TV. Saint Louis is a perennial power house and have four to six guys go on to play division one football - including their QB who is headed to Alabama. It is the same school that Marcus Mariota and Dominic Raiola attended. All told I think there are close to twenty kids a year who leave to play division one football outside of Hawaii - with most going to the PAC 12 or BYU.

The oddest thing abou Hawaii football is that some of the most talented kids get recruited to play at private schools on the mainland. As an example, Bishop Gorman in Las Vagas has three kids on their roster who are from Hawaii. If all these kids stayed home to play, Hawaii would be competitive in a power 5 conference (like the PAC 12). In my opinion they would be similar to Utah or CU.

When players can take officials after their Junior year that will certainly benefit kids from Hawaii. Heck they could piggyback two or three visits and have reasonable travel time.
