They played with no emotion or sense of urgency. The way this season is going, I could see the team becoming complacent and just going through the motions the rest of the way. MR is not a guy you "run through walls for".

Maybe the players are waiting to go to another concert in order to play hard? Winking

Did he ever have them? We were warned about his lackadaisical approach when he was hired and how it rubs off on his teams. Unfortunately, it has come come to fruition.

Age isn't a problem - Osborne, Saban..,

Babbling non-sense instead of winning is. I can't stand his nice guy routine he uses to deflect mediocrity.

No, they are playing hard and they will continue to do so, I am certain. The problem is the staff just doesn't put them in a position to succeed, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

Appears to be, it's still too early, but that the offense and defense are trending in opposite directions....
Now everyone's talking about practice habits etc and everything should be on the table from a job competition standpoint but it's not....
Fans are asking Riley to bench his starting QB and his starting O lineman because of poor performance; he won't go there and Langs said he won't go there.
The big question is: do these coaches know how to whip these guys in practice/motivate them because there is a lack of leadership on this team, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
All Gates and Foster ever do is talk a good game, I have yet to see them back up their words week in and week out. So it's on the coaches to change their behavior. I would like to see a shakeup on the o line, see a more athletic tackle than Farniok out there. Coaches have to be willing to go there in practice because the o line has been soft for a long time and undisciplined, even under Barnstache. The round mound of sound, Cav, needs to tune up his guys.
The most disturbing thing for me came at the end of Langsdorf's post game where he said that the o line has been struggling with stunt pressure and protection since fall camp. It's week 3; and we have seen this before, what's going to change??
