We haven't played many guys there, so we are pretty thin with experience. Could be a big week for some guys who haven't got much PT so far.
Why would Rhule announce this on Thursday and give UCLA two days notice about how short we are at CB? Obviously the Bruins could see MH limp off the field last Saturday, but no reason in 2024 to announce injuries until you have to hand in your list 2 hrs before the game.We haven't played many guys there, so we are pretty thin with experience. Yep. Hartzog was already a target of opposing OCs.And we would also complain if he didn't answer the question.
Plus, if we are being honest, most teams were probably planning to go after Hartzog in the passing game anyway.
Hartzog has played very well the last few games. I expect Gifford to come on strong like Hartzog did in the Ohio State game. And we would also complain if he didn't answer the question.

He’s an enigma to me because he leads the team in INTs. Coverage skills are of course lacking.Yep. Hartzog was already a target of opposing OCs.
I heard Hartzog was in concussion protocol. Is that not the case? Why would Rhule announce this on Thursday and give UCLA two days notice about how short we are at CB? We've been playing very few guys in the defensive backfield. I have a feeling there are a few backups who are ready to prove themselves but they haven't yet gotten the opportunity.Charles got pressed into duty against a very good WR group last week and played a bunch against Indiana. And the other three are not wanting in terms of game experience. NU will be fine.

They'll get their chance next year. Defensive backfield is generally not a position you want to sub out experience for youth. We've been playing very few guys in the defensive backfield. Against OSU he gave them a huge first down when we had them stopped and also got torched deep. But he also had an INT. So I guess on balance he was OK at least in that game.Hartzog has played very well the last few games. I expect Gifford to come on strong like Hartzog did in the Ohio State game.
Good ball skills but small and a half step slow.Against OSU he gave them a huge first down when we had them stopped and also got torched deep. But he also had an INT. So I guess on balance he was OK at least in that game.
I’m sure UCLA has a bunch of injuries, too.
Was afraid of this when they helped him to the sideline last Saturday..We haven't played many guys there, so we are pretty thin with experience. Could be a big week for some guys who haven't got much PT so far.
