Interesting prospect. Definitely more of a "passer who can run" type. He's fast but you wouldn't call him "twitchy" or "elusive" from what I saw on his film.

As opposed to say Smothers where you put his film on and go, "Man if this kid gets good at passing look the hell out."

In the day NU used to have a lot of in-state kids who had played QB in high school but were coming to college basically as an athlete. They might get a shot at QB and be moved to another position.

Clester Johnson and Tony Veland jump to mind. As does one Robert Newcombe who turned out to be a hell of a weapon at PR.

If he pans out as a QB, great. If not he's got TE written all over him. He might be 6'7 by the time he steps on campus. Can't teach huge and athletic.

Dude just hit his growth spurt. Let his body adjust to the new proportions and then let's see where he's at. Could become an entirely different animal in the next few years.
