I'm tired of grace periods and honeymoons. Today was hard to watch. I'm looking at our "athletes" out there and wondering, "what happened?" Josh Kalu? Bless his heart; he looks like a 15 year old. Our offensive linemen? Did the announcers really say they avg. only 290 pounds? What? Our RBs? Wilbon shows some wiggle but the rest? Wow! Jay Sims, the fourth-string back in 1995, was more explosive than any of them.
I do like how Tommy played and I like our WRs, but other than that, what are the positives? There are none.
We are a mediocre program. Wow that hurt to type that. But we are. Even watching Wisconsin at a party later, hell, they got blown out, but they looked better than us.
Riley is a great human being, and that makes this easier. Banker? Wow. Yeah, thanks for installing the "simple" defense. Yes, it's simple alright. Simple for the other team to figure out.
