I witnessed probably one of the grittiest football performances of my life tonight when Gross Catholic travelled to Blair to take on the Bears for their Homecoming game. Was back and forth with several lead changes when Blair started to pull away. Back-up sophomore quarterback for Gross comes in with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter down 21-10, goes 7-7 passing and marches 80 yards for the TD. Blair gets the ball back and moves the ball down the field while burning clock. They get called for offensive pass inference on 3rd and 4 and Gross declines the penalty to preserve clock. Next play Gross defense stops them on 4th and takes over on offense with 2:40 on the clock. Back-up QB sophomore marches them down the field both with his passing and legs and only has one incompletion while throwing the go ahead TD pass and running in the 2 point conversion to take the 3 point lead. Blair gets the ball back with 40 seconds left and run about 3 plays before Gross secondary player intercepts a pass to end the game.

Hell of a game to be at and get to witness and couldn’t be more proud of those players. Roll Cougs.
