Coming to a movie theater near you…..
Scene ONE:
Open to a time flashback…… the year is 1999….. the scene…a small average kitchen….
Focus in on a small… four-year boy… walking across the kitchen with determination……
…..the boy walks across the kitchen over to the block of knives on the counter and takes a large sharp knife out……
…..the boy brings up his left arm to the counter…its clear that there is something not right about his left hand….it dangles…. Lifeless… and comes to rest on the kitchen counter….
…..the small boy takes a look around the kitchen…..then with no sign of fear brings the knife up to the wrist area of his left arm…..and begins to cut into his skin……..
…..camera swings away to the face of a horrified mother screaming in in panic for him to STOP…..the boy begins to cry….. (mom moves cautiously to the boy and takes the knife …she wraps the boy in her arms)
….thru his tears the boy pleads with his mom ….cries softly how bad his fingers and hand hurt……that they hurt so bad…..all the time…..
…She holds him close ….and thru HER tears…. ….tells him it will be ‘ok’….
-break-
…..camera swings away……to the year of 2015 …..camera sweeps in in on a dejected group of college football players….. the last few players of the UCF Knights team leaving their home field after yet another loss, the final game of the season….the final loss of the season… their home Orlando stadium scoreboard beams 44-3 in favor of the USF Bulls….. …. twelve games played this season of 2015….all of them losses…every one.
……a young man with dread locks sits on the turf on the sidelines….his head hung down… he is alone…. He looks up at the scoreboard and shakes his head slowly…. Without a word he stands and begins to walk to the players tunnel……..the jersey reads (Griffin) on the back……
…..camera slowly pulls back….. the young man is powerfully built….. and only has one hand….
…he begins to jog to the tunnel.
