This obviously didn't start at the combine. Other than coaches turning a blind eye, how was he ever on the field at NU?

Genuinely curious...does anyone know what the rules and procedures are for drug testing in the NCAA?
  1. How often are players tested? Random or with notice? In-season, off-season, both?
  2. Tested by the NCAA, the school, the team?
  3. In the event of a failed test, are all punishments handled by the school, team, NCAA, combination of the above?
  4. Can teams always hide a positive test as "violation of team rules" and handle it internally?

Bo let his stars skate on certain rules.

I have to conclude that he doesn't want to play football any more. Anyone know what his backup line of work is?

Jerry Jones still won't admit his draft mistake. All he had to do was check on the guy's senior year at NU. Red flags were everywhere.

He [Daub] suggested that off-field issues beyond Pelini’s record played into the decision, saying the win-loss record “is one, but only one, of the measurements” of the coach’s performance.

Feel bad for him, he's never going to earn back what he's lost so far and man has he lost a lot. Dude will be missing millions from his account over pot. Bummer for him.

That still doesn't answer my questions, though. If the tests are administered by the NCAA, Bo should have no say in punishment. If they are administered by the school/AD, then other administrators would then be complicit in allowing the failed test to go unpunished.

Bo letting him slide would only make sense if the tests were performed entirely within the team (even sure how that could be without the AD being invovled).

Played his last year like he was smokin' dope in the locker room...

My friends kid lived next door to Jake Cotton said the him and Gregory had very impressive lung capacity. I suppose you don't get suspended when you're smoking with the kid of the assistant head coach

DJ Fluker got paid, that clown from Ole Miss spilled the beans and after that nothing. The NCAA is useless.

Allegedly, Randy is keeping company with disgraced DE Greg Hardy. If that is true, he really don't seem like he cares what NFL teams think. I am betting he is done. He will get released by Dallas at some point, and maybe given another chance by the Bengals or Raiders or some desperate team and he will disappoint them too. Dude is done.

(For the record, years ago there was a discussion on here about Tiger Woods and I said he was done and his back would only get worse. I said he may win a couple smaller tourneys, but no more majors. I said he would drop out a number of tourneys due to his back. Seems I nailed that prediction. I also boldly predicted that Rhonda Rousey was gonna lose to that one chick who can't beat anyone since then. I just get gut feelings on stuff. This is more low hanging fruit.)

I want to say I specifically remember you and the tiger Woods comments.

It's not the weed.....you can get that out of your system in a day ......he has mental problems that he feels weed surpresses.

Just stop. Pot is addictive.

Even if you're addicted you can get it out of your system in a day....my point is...he isn't even concerned with getting caught. Addicted or not he has underlying mental problems and that is his excuse for smoking weed...it's not about his addiction is all I'm saying.

What is this magic potion that removes THC from your brain and hair follicles in a single day?

I shouldn't have said out of your system...more cover it up .

I'm talking more about piss test.... Certos.....a gelitan mix.

Pot isn't physically addicting any more than tobacco.
The pothead just wants to smoke day & night. Lazy bum.

Gregory is another Carl Spackler, but not funny at all.

Weed is not physically addictive at all. I suppose science and facts dont matter to some of you. Keep spouting the bullshit and lies about weed. It dosent matter. The truth will come out. It already has. The ignorant just choose to ignore the facts.

Butthurt much? Sounds like it makes you angry that you can't get high legally...maybe the anger is part of your addiction. Physically or not what's the difference?
But seriously, keep quoting your facts from your biased sources while the rest of us live in reality. We all know people who can't live without pot. Yes it's not meth, but to say this drug is not addictive is a little too hopeful.
But yeah, I know the studies show that pot is a miracle drug that cures cancer and improves driving, decision making, cognitive function, sexual function, gives you the ability to see through walls and can at times turn you into a unicorn or mastodon...and would cause world peace if nationally legalized.

It helps kids and adults who have seizures 10 to sometimes 100 times a day to maybe 3 times a month to stopping them all together. Guess the adults and the parents of the kids are lying. All of em. Cant keep the truth hidden forever. Oh, by the way, no physical withdrawal symptoms from quitting weed cold turkey what so ever. Try that with cigarettes or alcohol. Ill repeat that, no symptoms. Zero. Nada. Nothing.

Oh don't confuse my post.
I simply scoff at the belief that this is a miracle drug that isn't addictive. Can you homestly say you haven't witnessed people who can't live without this stuff? If u say yes then I'm guessing you are one. As far as medicinal goes...hell yeah have at it. But the whole not addictive thing is just bs. It's addictive and it's a gateway drug psychologically.

Cigarettes seem horribly addictive

Maybe only surpasses by Suh, one of the most talented players to ever put on a Husker Uniform on the defensive side in the last two decades, and yet he was too busy getting high in Lincoln than focusing on football.

Maybe he should take the Josh Gordon approach before it's too late. He's still young.
Tons of talent, and even if the NFL doesn't work out, he still has the rest of his life to live.

Lets all realize; this isn't the previous generations pot. There are common versions 10 times stronger - and ways to try for 100 times stronger. You have to feel for our law enforcements that have to face this. Well meaning spectators, that are clueless about the transition; well lots of issues here.

Cigarettes are definitely addictive. No other way to explain all the difficulty millions of people have had with trying to quit them.

Thing I don't understand about the "medicinal" value of MJ is, if it has medicinal value, then why not just synthesize the chemicals that have the positive effect, and sell them in FDA approved form that doesn't required smoking the whole weed? That way you get the medicinal effects without the damaged lungs and the psychological damage.

"The rest of his life"...classic.

I wish i could feel sorry for people who choose to make their own lives more difficult for themselves(i.e. drug addicts and alcoholics). Nobody in the world feels sorry for me when I make stupid-@ss decisions.

Ha! Maybe you just need to make them more regularly?
