Here we go again! Hardest out of the gate goes to Nebraska, but followed closely by Stanford. The asst. AD has been on the prowl and contacting, calling, texting, tweeting, periscoping, you name it. They are looking hard at young Will.
I had to shred the Alabama mail that came today. We can't have them sniffing around. Looks like Will is going to get his share of attention.
Some funny news from WHS today. We honored our students today at a celebration. One of the highlights is a tug-of-war contest between the staff and the football team. This year both anchors were very large human beings named Farniok. Tom with the staff and Matt with the students. It was a close back-and-forth battle, but the students prevailed. I had to give Tom some grief at lunch and he said he can't even lift in front of the players now as he's lost so much strength - and that comes from a D1 strength coach.
I also had the chance to chat with our 2018 TE target Zach Heinz. He's a great kid, catches everything. Said he'd be attending one of the Friday Night Lights camps and also the August 6 basketball camp. He's 6' 6 1/2", btw.
