Giants take Fidone- Other UDFA

And to think how ineffectively he was used by the offensive staff at times.
Yeah, maybe so. But let's be honest, it didn't play as athletic as he tested. And that may have been due to injury. And he had some balls thrown to him that were intercepted in 2023 that he would have liked to have had back. He got drafted on the hopes that he could finally fulfill his potential. He's going to have to bulk up a bit more and try to make it as an inline TE who can block at the line of scrimmage.

He can make the Ravens’ roster. I like his ability more than some. Nice pickup for the Ravens.
Normally I would say no way to this but I took a look at the WRs on the Ravens roster. Other than Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman if he can stay healthy, I was surprised at how little depth the Ravens have. DeAndre Hopkins is a shadow of his old self, but he'll probably make the team. Other than that it's a half dozen fringe players. So Banks will have a shot I guess. One thing to be aware of would be the probability that the Ravens will keep a fullback, three TEs and one less WR on their 53.

And if the Ravens cut him, I would expect a kid like Nash to get a second or third shot landing somewhere else. He's gonna make it in the league. He's got a lot of Harrison Phillips in his game. In a normal year for D-linemen, Nash would have been drafted.
Does anyone feel like Nash was set back by trying to be both a wrestler and a DT? The difference in weight necessary for the two sports makes it hard to balance. I don't know if he could focus and become an Olympic-level wrestler (which he is probably close). The money is in the NFL obviously.

The knee injury he played with this season was probably a bigger factor than wrestling.

In the short term, absolutely it probably held him back. He lost weight and messed up his off season conditioning. But the NFL loves that kind of sh-t. They know wrestlers are legit and teams will figure that Nash might have a little more to learn by focusing entirely on one sport. Which is mostly what he did at NU anyway, but it's still appealing to NFL types.

Makes me wonder. Really good pickup for Baltimore. Not going to find many UFA with his potential.
