Disagree...it was exactly what byu offensive coordinator told him before play.Just rewatch it. He needed extra timefor receivers to get in position and a clear view.

Ah except if the QB had even .5 seconds less to throw (which would have happened if Gang didn't immediately make it a 2 man rush) the completion in the endzone doesn't happen. Like you can see the BYU QB look behind him and realize he still has like 4-5 seconds to throw.

Wouldnt have mattered...because he was going to be able to sling the ball 50 yds eithet way....whether we rushed 3 or 4...or whether we kept him in the pocket or not

Not sure how you think allowing him out of the pocket wasn't a big part of the play. It's much harder when the pocket closes around you.

We hadn't put much pressure on with a four-man rush. How could the pocket close around the QB with a three-man rush?

Exactly bring the house with 6 or 7, if 4 or 5 can't cover the goal line then there is not much chance anyway. You can't let him have the time to setup for that throw, my biggest problem with that play. Move on get better

Wrong. The kid barely threw it 45 with a ton of time. Are you trying to set some sort of record for being the biggest idiot?
