The only thing Warren screwed up was his response to Frost. The season being cancelled wasn't his decision. I believe if it were solely up to him, we would be playing. Nothing will happen until pressure is put on college presidents and they think their jobs could be in jeopardy.
Well I think Warren screwed up the decision process big time. He should have got input from players, player's parents and coaches before making any recommendation to the presidents. He skipped over that step. Bad move not to involve the people most affected by the decision.

The SEC commish has been out front explaining their position and thought process the whole time. Warren, not so much. He's scared. That or he doesnt know what he's doing. Either way, both are terrible qualities of a so called leader. It appears like he ain't got it.

Exactly. I have never signed a single one of those, even if I agree with the sentiment(which I do here). They are completely meaningless and are just done to make people feel like they are doing something about a certain issue(which they really aren't).
If folks did not like the recommendations of the B10 medical experts, its almost certain that the conservative advice provided by their lawyers will rile the herd as well.

Warren should have at least recommended a 2 week delay before just plain canceling the season. This sudden, quick decision to cancel is what makes me think politics is involved here. Would really like to know what changed so much in 5 days after schedule release. Not exactly a vote of confidence petition.
His inability to give a straightforward answer to any basic question since the cancellation doesn't instill a lot of confidence in the process utilized to cancel.
The reason is that our 24 hour news cycle demands continuous content. So sitting 30 days to ultimately make a decision is viewed as cowardly and ducking the responsibility of making a decision instead of prudent and making a knee jerk reaction is rewarded by the 24 hour news cycle as being progressive and ‘leadership’ instead of moronic.
It’s why masks were useless til they weren’t anymore. We reward the ‘expert’ or ‘leader’ that gives us the sound byte to run with until someone more ‘on script’ debunks it and then throw them to the curb and distract the imbeciles with a non-stop pounding of the new ‘facts’ so they don’t question the flip flop.
The ACC, SEC, Big 12, Nebraska and Iowa will be portrayed as hillbillies and only caring about inconsequential football instead of important things like COVID and college education. Good progressives like the PAC and BIG will be rewarded as leaders and insightful for following the libtard line.
Guys like Franklin at PSU, Day at OSU, and Harbaugh at Michigan will get a pass as their states will likely decide the election in 2020.

Corporate attorneys tend to be conventionally conservative - resistant to risk. The point being: the B10 attorneys probably generally counseled against taking the risk.
If anything, most if not all of the attorneys hired by the B10 lean politically Republican. Big corporation attorneys are usually recruited and hired from big business (conservative) law firms. That they might provide "socialist advice" is sort of laughable.

LOL I spent almost a full decade as in-house legal counsel for a bank. Every once in a while I would attend bank conventions or seminars for bank attorneys dealing with my area of practice. I met quite a few legal practitioners in my field. Describing these folks as socialists is a hoot..... but carry on with your version of "reality".

I don't know what your reply is supposed to mean but given your responses so far its kind of ironic that its entirely likely the driving force behind the Big Ten's decision to cancel football - the majority of scientists, medical experts, and liability attorneys advising the university presidents - are registered Republicans, or lean politically conservative in any event.
