Not related to recruiting but there apparently is a lot of negotiations behind the scenes going on to try to allow Texas and Oklahoma out of the Big 12 a year early to join the SEC in 2024. Apparently the SEC wants to match B1G timing for adding USC and UCLA and Texas/Oklahoma just can't wait to start getting their asses whipped. Requires some negotiated buy out paid to the remaining Big 12 teams, maybe $80 million or so.

If I'm the Big XII I take the 80 million. Neither TU or OU has been in the championship game the last few years. Let them leave with their tails between their legs.

There is a less than zero percent chance those two teams would be in the title game next season.

You remember what happens when the big 12 needs something...... like getting TAMU into the Cotton Bowl in 2010.
