What about the part of Riley not taking his calls? Seems odd
Kid sounds a bit immature. But hey... He is 17.
And he needs to stop the BS about Riley misleading him about the offense. My goodness, it isn't like we are going back to Osborne's offense. There is still going to be a lot of passing. He is a 17 year old true freshman who was in the mix for playing time. And he is complaining?I could understand not feeling comfortable but don't be a cry baby because spielman passed you by
The kid talks like Riley promised him we would look like a Texas Tech or Cal offense. Yeah no that isn't happening here. The kid just needs to let it go, enroll in JUCO and try to catch on with another D1 team. And he needs to stop the BS about Riley misleading him about the offense. I agree with those on here who have been saying this has a lot to do with being behind Spielman
I disagree and hear me out...I think head coaches should basically say anything they can to get good players on campus. If Riley is recruiting a typical Bama RB you better believe I want him telling that cat the plan is to run him 30 times a game. And he needs to stop the BS about Riley misleading him about the offense. Ha. Ok. Not sure I agree but I like your blunt honesty about coaches needing to lie. Lol. Post of the day. No sarcasm.I disagree and hear me out...I think head coaches should basically say anything they can to get good players on campus. It should be like a car salesman telling a guy "Hey, this minivan actually has the same horsepower as a 911, it just happens to be in a minivan"
1. You tell EVERY player you expect them to come in and get playing time as a freshmen because you expect every player to work hard and you recruited them for their talent and work ethic.
2. You tell EVERY player whatever it takes to get them on your team if you think they will help you out.
In the end, you are recruiting them for a reason. You think they will help your team in one way, shape or form. Riley knows that Grimm could totally help the team so you do what you can to get him and hope he buys in or "sees the light"
Ha! Shoot, if my million dollar job depended on 17 year old kids...I would be telling lineman that they would get snaps at QB and RB if they wanted...Just get them on campus!Ha. Ok. Not sure I agree but I like your blunt honesty about coaches needing to lie. Lol. Post of the day. No sarcasm.
When I first read the article and his comments it made me feel like Riley is commited to the run game, for now. Especially with TA under center I believe this would be a good call.

Exactly. Of course we aren't going 4 wide all the time this year with Tommy as QBAnd he needs to stop the BS about Riley misleading him about the offense. Bingo. Kid apparently is unaware of our QB's in waitingThat's kind of how I saw it too. We told you the direction we want to go in the future and you have seen the QB's we have recruited, but this is what gives us the best chance to win right now.
In other words, an 18 year old kid got homesick, (something you'll never see a young man own up to in his home town newspaper.) It happens all around the country. Let's go play some Husker football.
Oh yeah, regarding his comment of not getting his calls returned, I would hope it's a matter of priority for Coach R, don't you?
Riley is blocking his transfer and tried to convince him to stay. Yet some on here think that Riley just let him float away like a helium balloonNo. It must be something the staff has done/not done. Says peeps ITT. Must be true!
I know times are different than when I was a kid, with all of this gender identity stuff going on today. If I was a 17/18 year old boy, the last thing I would want the whole nation to know is that I can't be too far away from mommy and daddy. I'm sure some kids struggle and some don't. Figure it out. Find a partner, find multiple partners. Find a church, find something that you can be a part of. If you still can't handle it, then say something else besides I miss mommy and daddy. Holy crap.
Hmmm... Kid it is about winning football games and right now we don't have the Quarterback for that 4 wide

Get it! I guess not
Nah. That was my approach too as of yesterday. But now he is trashing our program. To hell with him and good riddance. That should make Bear.Lib happyGood luck to the kid.
Trashing the program??? I don't get butt hurt over kids feelings....best to just "take the high road" (like Bo)....Nah. That was my approach too as of yesterday. But now he is trashing our program. To hell with him and good riddance. That should make Bear.Lib happy

Coach Riley is known to be one of the most honest and genuine guys in the business.
Grim said Riley lied to him.
Doesn't take a lot to decide who I'll believe.
Juco ball is no punk....he's gonna hate that.....that's a step away from the penitentiary...lol
I'm assuming you believe his and it's not just sarcasm...Gotta think if Coach Dub didn't get suspended, kid wouldn't have transferred. He needed someone to talk him down from jumping but he had no one. Riley has too much going on to do that front line stuff. Whose running WRs right now? Whose their mentor? Who ever it is already failed
Coaching WideOuts is like coaching basketball. Lot of prima Donnas there. Lotta guys you have to treat with kid gloves. Think a guy like JP & Cav could coach WideOuts? We wouldn't have any of them left after 2 weeks. It takes a special guy to do it. Gotta be tuff on them, don't get me wrong at that, you just gotta take your foot off of the gas sooner then at most spots. This is typical WideOut drama. And I'm not saying all WR are that way, just a lot of them get butt hurt easier than any other spot except maybe QB
I think he rides his bike more. For this year I believe Riley will run a lot, next year the offense changes again suited more towards MR style of offense. MR found out last year he can't put a square peg in a round hole. He admitted that much already. By year 4 there probably will be 4-5 WR sets...
Yea hard to understand, he doesn't understand TA isn't a 4 wide QB? He doesn't see who they are recruiting? Sad I was looking forward to seeing him score a lot of TDs for us.
