5-star Trey Sanders (no relation) wants to go to Colorado to play for Deion Sanders. He is awaiting an offer from Colorado.

Meanwhile 2023 Nebraska RB commit, 3-star Barnes, says good bye to Nebraska because he committed because of Joseph.

A 5-star RB from Alabama....who hasn't done jack-squat in 3 years there.

He had 14 carries for 80 yards this year in garbage time against Louisiana-Monroe, Austin Peay, and Vandy.

UNL should have locked him up when/if they had the chance. He will get whatever talent he wants. CU will be killing it in short order. Got to have the Jimmy's and Joe's.

No, he will not get whatever talent he wants.

Most of the top players are still going to want to play in the SEC, or play for other regular playoff contenders like Ohio State and Clemson, or schools that have a ton of NIL money.

Do people really think all the best players are going to flock to Boulder to play for a SWAC coaching staff? He'll get a handful because of the hype, but it takes depth to win in Power 5 college football.

Barnes and Watson have not been recruited by the new staff and presumably don't have offers any longer. The sites have been reporting they are both gone for a while now.

And Deion also hasn't accepted him yet despite his campaigning. But IF he does wind up at Colorado it will be interesting to see whether or not he actually contributes under Deion.

So exactly like Wynn who we signed from Bama and all these girls on here gobbled on his nuts.

Haha. Youre trying so hard that you say getting a handle of 4 and 5 star players to colorado isnt a big deal.

Yeah, joke is on them, its much better to get 2 3 and a few 4 stars now and then than to compete with the big boys for 4 and 5 star talent! They wont get them all, just a handful…haha losers!

Read that a single CU booster just pumped $10M into their NIL program.

lol anyone who thinks getting 4 and 5 star recruits will automatically lead to success, clearly hasn't followed Texas or Texas A&M Football over the last decade. Or Tennessee before Josh Heupel. Or USC before Lincoln Riley.

Nobody is saying you don't need talent. But there's a lot of coaches that were great recruiters but were not Power 5 level head coaches. Clay Helton, Butch Jones, Charlie Strong, Coach O, Jeremy Pruitt, Manny Diaz. At this level, you have to be great at recruiting AND coaching.

I completely agree with this, but you need to put this in the perspective and context of the jobs.

Colorado is a dumpster fire (so is nebraska, in fact its been longer since we’ve made a bowl)
Colorado is void of talent (so is nebraska)
Colorado is not a destination job for anybody (nebraska is)

This is a slam dunk hire. Im not saying sanders will win national championships but hes going to improve that program instantly with an infusion of talent. They’ll win games. How many depends on his staff.
And its funny to me watching husker fans twist and squirm themselves into finding ways to minimize sanders as a coach, such as “they wont get all the 5 stars alabama and clemson will still get some”. its insane…people are admitting colorado has gone from competing with mountain west teams for 2 and 3 stars to competing with the big boys for 4 and 5 stars, and acting all smug like its a bad thing!!!!
Ffs, napoleon syndrome is real here.

Where the heck did you see five star? He's a three according to 24/7. You should be worried about your lone four star player. He's last one one you have. Man, this class started out so good. MR can turn it around hopefully. Texas A@M and CO are really getting it in the butt as well as other schools. Good for them.

Does anyone doubt that he will turn that program around in a short time? I don't. Look out, preparing for entrance into the B1G.
He will improve their program and bolt. They aren't getting into the big ten because of a few good years. Oregon and Washington would be invited before Colorado

But he has 5 stars. Clearly going to jump start their program.

Why is a homerun hire for Colorado? He's leaving within 3 years one way or the other and the second he does every single recruit is heading out.

Now maybe some people will understand why Prime was possibly the best coach available this cycle. Too bad the inbreeds in our fanbase would never allow it

who else could they hire that would even bring in good players? Colorado should hope a lot of transfer come in and the thing is you only get 1 free transfer so it's not like they can go out the same way they came in.
