Frost on the list at "da U"

Frost won't end up there. Going to have to have a U guy there and he isn't part of that family.

The mindset there to be at the top of the hill needs to be a guy they was part of it and understands what needs to happen within the building and school

If the Oregon offense was humming right along and they were in the title discussion he'd be a more likely possibility, and for the record I said in jest yesterday in a thread here somewhere he'd end up there. As it is though, I cannot imagine he'd be a serious candidate.

Miami has wanted Butch Davis back for the past 3 to 4 years. It's basically a done deal, Frost isn't getting a Power 5 head coaching job until he proves he can do it at a smaller school

That just doesn't seem right to me. I don't care if the AD publicly said he wanted to hire him, I just wouldn't believe it until I saw it.

If SF were to go to Miami (which is extremely unlikely), and he had success, you think he'd just pack up and move back to Lincoln........why?

If it truly is his dream job I'm sure he would take the gig at pretty much anytime. Now, I don't really know if NU is in fact his dream job. Nor do I think Miami will be willing to hire him. Fact is, he would be a very risky hire for any blue blood at this point.

Yes, Scott Frost is on the list (linked in OP) for the open HC position at the University of Miami. Truth. No lie.

He is not on the Miami list on their website. He is on that writers list. He has zero chance at getting the Miami job IMHO.

I'm sure there are many lists. To be clear, I linked the one that I was referring to.

Which is NOT Miami's list, although that's what your thread title states.

"Frost on the list at da u"

No, he's on a list, by Dennis Dodd, not affiliated with "da u".

Mario Cristobal, Alabama offensive line coach, former FIU coach

This guy has Miami ties and coaches one of the top teams in the country.

Frost listed as a candidate at Syracuse, Virginia, and Colorado according to this Sports Illustrated link. Bo listed for Iowa State. Moglia for Rutgers.

A side note about Frost, sounds like he made some Pelini-esque comments today. When asked about fan criticism he said something like most of the critics couldn't draw up 11 guys on a football field and don't know what they're talking about.

Ha, hadn't read that comment! And to be fair, Scott may have a point. Although, it kind of reminds me more of a Callahan-esque condescending reply. Either way, it makes me laugh

Wasn't Frost passed over for HC jobs at Boise and La tech the past couple seasons? Hard to imagine he could land the HC job at Miami at this point in his career.

Scott Frost doesn't have head coaching experience. I'm glad that Devaney didn't hold that against Tom Osborne.
There it is. The first official Scott Frost = Tom Osborne claim. Just like Solich = Osborne, and Bo = Osborne. Never mind those other 2 coaches, they will never succeed anywhere because they don't have Nebraska ties.
Frost is likely waiting for the Stanford job to open, which by every indication is his ACTUAL dream job, Nebraska is a fall-back plan.

Especially since he isn`t even on their hot list.
