There's a pretty good article on Awful Announcing in regards to Fox Sports marketing itself as the ideal option in the upcoming B1G media negotiations. Good read if you get the chance. While I think it'd be too shrewd to ditch ESPN entirely, it'd be in the conference's best interest to at least pursue a deal similar to the Pac-12, where rights are split with ESPN and Fox. FS1 and Fox Sports are just too risky of a venture at this time to turn over all of the conference's rights to them. But by splitting them, you hopefully increase FS1's and Fox's visibility and credibility as a legitimate player in sports broadcasting (at least more so than before), while diminishing ESPN's influence. Then again, given the amount of effort Fox Sports has put into wooing the conference thus far, the amount of money they will likely offer us will likely be staggering. Interesting scenario Jim Delany has on his hands.
