First off, I'll say I loved all the interactions the current players had with the campers. From what I saw Gebbia had mostly nice throws to Lindsey, KJJ, Lewis, and McQuitty. Loved how he was being a leader amoungst the campers. He did have a few throws that were a little loose but for the most part he looked pretty good. He'll be a good leader in the Husker huddle. Lindsey and Lewis and the other star talent separated themselves from the rest. Lindsey however, was just so smooth and quick. His routes were graceful and would love to have him in this offense. McQuitty has definitely been the undervalued commit. The kid can flat out catch the ball. His route running will only get better with Keith Williams as his coach. Speaking of catching, KJJ was playing catch with McQuitty at the start of camp and he made like 4-5 one handed catches in a row. He just seems like he is at home on that field. Would love to land a big body WR like Lewis. He appeared to be enjoying things and glad he got to check out Nebraska. He's gonna be a tough fish to reel in but if anyone can its Keith Williams (who also put on a show particularly some dancing after catching a WR drop during drills).

A few other star talent that stood out to me was Jamari Peacock, Anthony Payne, Nathan Tilford. Peacock was a big kid but he seemed very elusive. I saw him during a passing drill tip a ball that was thrown behind him as he spun the opposite direction to catch it. He could be a good pickup at FB. Anthony Payne is an absolute freak on the DL. He was giving some fits to the OL for sure. I got the pleasure of talking with @Nate Clouse while he was waiting on Dean to wrap up interviews and he told me if he was an inch or 2 taller the kid would have 30 plus offers probably. He definitely played like it at FNL. I hope the kid gets an offer because he seems like the type to work his ass off to be great. Nathan Tilford was one of the first guys that caught my eye. The kid is just ripped and you can tell is a freak athlete. The entire time I kept telling myself the kid is still in high school because he didn't look it.

My favorite part though was definitely the match ups between the WR/DBs though. Bookie, IMO, is the MUST get next year. The kid is legit and would be lock down for us in the secondary. Hands down the best athlete in the camp.

Some local guys that stood out to me were for sure Patrick Arnold and Jordan Paup. Arnold looked pretty good and played nasty. Paup appeared to win lot of his reps from what I saw but still has some weight to put on.

A few players notes to pass along...
POB walks around with the swag you want in your QB. Gerry was really getting into the drills after he was giving Chris Jones crap for taking it easy on the campers. Tre Bryant is a beast. I couldn't figure out who he was till the very end since he was wearing shades and a hat. Collin Miller looked pretty big but he could probably use a solid year in this s&c program to critique his build. Jerald Foster his a monster, as is Tanner Farmer who was really getting into coaching up the OL. AJ Bush was helping out with the QB's and Avery Anderson and Eric Lee were helping with the DB's. Cethan Carter was helping with the TE's and the dude just looks like a specimen for a TE. He definitely has the same build as Aaron Hernandez once did and could be just as good of a TE if not better(definitely not drawing off-field comparisons). Lastly, Lamar Jackson, this dude loves him the spot light but he looks like he is ready as of yesterday to step on the field and start. The future is bright for him for sure.

I really enjoyed attending to see the interaction between the coaching staff, current players, and recruits. This staff really gets it, from the music to the mingling to the autographs. Overall just a great experience. Also, any time you get to go to Memorial Stadium to see football it gives you tingles. Fall is right around the corner. GBR!
