After Wisconsin got the first first down on that final drive, Nebraska should have just stepped aside to let them score. A touchdown was inevitable at that point. At least they could have preserved some clock.
The team really does suck. The guys on defense don't even know where the ball is. Forget strength or technique. You're not going to tackle anybody when you don't even know what is happening on the field.

I didn’t watch the first half today and the second half I honestly didn’t even care. I knew how it was going to end. It just doesn’t bother me any more. Which is terrible for the future of the program. When we stop caring it’s really over and I’m right there
Its like a Groundhog’s Day experience where we constantly are in positions to win, but you know we will find a way to lose. Just a bunch of losers. My kids can barely believe when I tell them how good we were long ago.
We just need competence. Simple coaching and program competence. It’s fascinating really. From frosty to this. So dumb, all of the fvcking time!
I keep thinking that—for all the close winnable, games we are in—sooner or later we will accidentally win one. So I keep watching.
If I hadn’t grown up a die-hard Husker fan, I would despise this program. Just awful from top to bottom. Not one person in the country thinks NU can win a game in the 4Q against a team with a pulse.
You know things are bad when you don’t expect us to do anything good in a game. Forget winning…it has gotten to the point that any touchdown we get is a pleasant surprise.
I watched TCU and Baylor… just for kicks, I checked our score, saw we were up 14-3, my wife says “ want to watch it?” I said no…we will figure out a way to screw this up

Nobody is forcing you to stick around. I’m just trying to give reasons to stick around. I’ll give you one more… I don’t even know who the next coach is, but I can guarantee you 💯 that he’ll pay more attention to strength and conditioning than Frost ever dreamed of.
The thing is in the past, these wouldn't have been close games, but we would have blown these type of teams out. Wisconsin is a bad football team this year. No reason we couldn't have come out the gate and score on them at will with a competent offense. Wisconsin and Minnesota aren't good teams, but we let them stay around and this is the result when you let that happen.
It is disappointing but can I ask what you were expecting? This has been the same thing for 4 years now. What would have changed all of a sudden?

Many, many people have stopped caring. Would love to see the actual count of who walked through the gates for yesterdays game. That place seemed 3/4 full with every ticket “supposedly” sold. That means 10-20,000 fans were given a free ticket and chose not to attend. I’ve never had so much space to sit in my 35 years of going to games as I did yesterday. That’s a pretty good sign that many have stopped caring.

Exactly right, the new hire needs to win the fans back as well as win games. Not sure the prospects of 7-5 years is good enough. We need a home run hire.
Good heavens. NU is a crappy 3 win team and it was cold as hell. I AMAZED that ANYBODY other than team parents walked through those gates.
It will take 2 weeks to win the fans back IF that. Win that conference opener and beat CU. That’s all it will take

I watched both too. TCU game was a good one and they found a way to win. And to think FSF managed to have no interest in Max Duggan (Council Bluffs kid) who is likely to get drafted on the second day
I turned down free tickets on many occasion throughout the year. I can't get my kids to come with me. And honestly I can't blame them. No way in hell I was going to go saturday and pay for parking and food, and freeze my ass off for that product.
We’ve had season tickets for over 30 years. We were unable to give away tickets to ranked opponents on beautiful days …. Nothing new. Worse yes. New no.
