One day in Lincoln, the next day in Orlando
Lifelong Huskers fan and would like to make my dream of attending a game a reality. Currently live in New York and would like to make a flight out to Lincoln this Fall to catch a game. Any recommendations for the best way to get good tickets?

I see that most of the games we have on schedule have early start times. How is tailgating in Lincoln? Any good bars to celebrate after the game?

When I stay in Lincoln being downtown isn't important to me so I get a hotel out by I80 and 27th. Much cheaper. But you're right, the sooner the better.
Staying at a downtown hotel would certainly be advised. If this is his/her first Lincoln experience, and money is no object, I would never recommend trying to come in off I80 on gameday.

That could sour a person. Of course, if one is coming from New York, I suppose it might not be a big deal. The parking situation can be infuriating for out-of-towners. Keep it walkable. :)

Stub hub for tickets
Downtown hotel so you can walk everywhere
Yes get your hotel now
Start in rail yard in the courtyard in front of big screen
On your way to stadium stop at Barry's
Then see Joyce and the band at single barrel right on your way to stadium
Watch the band march in by standing on stadium drive south end

Night before
Go to mistys in havelock
Great food
Awesome atmosphere
Nebraska band and cheerleaders show up
Lots of fans
Great fun
True Nebraska experience

You don't want to spend time at Applebee's and eating children's food at raising canes

Do you like fun?
If you answered yes, keep reading.

If this is a huge trip for you, stay at Embassy downtown, they have a huge party outside, the cheerleaders go through the hotel, so does some of the band.

Hit up the bars on O street. Sandy's (Get some Elk Creek) and Barry's (Get on the roof top)
after the game hit up the Rail Yard.
