4 star D. Dowdell is a stud.Very good class. The only disappointment for me is at running back.
I meant high school recruiting class. It would be good to get a high school running back recruit every year.4 star D. Dowdell is a stud.
I think our coaches were spot on in evaluating of Lacy. His ranking really shot up.I meant high school recruiting class. It would be good to get a high school running back recruit every year.

Would have been fantastic snagging Lacy.I think our coaches were spot on in evaluating of Lacy. His ranking really shot up.
But overall a really great class!
Tyson Terry coming N 25.I wish we could have landed a HS DT. But no class is perfect.
So much good stuff. Totally worth the time to watch. I love the part where he said people stop him and ask about our scholarship numbers. Lol. That is like flagging down a farmer in his tractor and telling him you think he planted too many acres and won't be able to harvest them all in time.
Coach Matt Rhule National Signing Day Press Conference Notes-Terrance Knighton played a key role in landing Keona Wilhite-Very intentional in how we approached the walk on class-The way we practice gives everyone an opportunity to do well-Keona is big and athletic-Jordan Ochoa is a guy who had PAC-12 offers but has a love for Nebraska-We have a lot of great pass rushers returning-Kahmir Prescott is a tremendous person, but also a "ball hawk"-Don't worry about scholarship numbers - "I got this, I know what I'm doing"-If we see a great player, we're going to approach them, regardless of stars-"we're not flashy, we don't show up in designer cars"-Coach Rhule hasn't been around early enrollees much, but get all good reports-Did not get into CFB to be a great recruiter, got into it to coach the guys-Anxious to get into the daily grind-"I just trust him" - Coach Rhule on Glenn Thomas-Will get into it over the next couple weeks with the offensive staff on what we need to do better-QB's will be well coached under Glenn-Marcus Satterfield WILL CALL PLAYS, he's the OC - "never a question in my mind"-Glenn Thomas will design plays alongside Garret McGuire-Donovan Raiola is essentially the run-game coordinator-The way Glenn Thomas teaches QB's is starting with fundamentals but having high standards for them-Marcus Satterfield is naturally aggressive and will do well coaching tight ends in that regard-Would love to have four quarterbacks, but don't want to get a 1-year starter-"Kinda going all in on these guys" - Coach Rhule on HH, Dylan Raiola, and Daniel Kaelin-No one in the locker room cares about how good you are in high school, they care about the present-Every offseason drill is competitive-"We're 5-7 until we kick off vs UTEP"-The culture is everyone has to do it before we can be successful-Night and day difference in culture between this year and last year-Want guys who are accountable, who produce, and who do the right things-Wake Forest transfer WR Jahmal Banks is leading in the offseason-"Last years unbelievable is this years good"-Don't cry about how you want to beat Iowa after you lose to Iowa-Florida OL transfer Micah Mazzcua has to understand how we do things at Nebraska - "he's got a way to go"-"Last year was a painful year for me in terms of going 5-7"-1 year transfers are only added when we really need them to fill a hole-Dante Dowdell is a big back - "I want an Emmett next to a Dante"-College football is headed to putting a headset in the helmets-Love the position-less player mindset the 49ers have-Wanted to draft Brock Purdy when Coach Rhule was at the Panthers-Allowing players to play multiple sports (track, wrestling) allows for better recruiting-Malachi Coleman wants to run once his shoulder is healed-Rahmir Johnson, Gabe Ervin, Malachi Coleman (shoulder), Princewell Umanmielen (shoulder), IGC (ACL), Turner Corcoran, all likely to not participate in spring practice
Hi Adam, it's a function of a badass class from top to bottom that is large, has a bunch of high end players, but also fills needs. It's also a function of Rhule being creative and NU having more NIL money than say an Iowa, or Wisconsin. Sucks for them.Is the #16 ranking more a function of the quantity of recruits or average star ranking per recruit?
That's just insane. You see coach Rhule and what pops into your head is to ask that.... WeirdosSo much good stuff. Totally worth the time to watch. I love the part where he said people stop him and ask about our scholarship numbers. Lol. That is like flagging down a farmer in his tractor and telling him you think he planted too many acres and won't be able to harvest them all in time.
I like the fact he lets kids be true 2 sport athletes here. You want to run track? Great. You want to wrestle? Go do it Polar Bear. That will help with recruiting. Not just lip service here at NU.So much good stuff. Totally worth the time to watch. I love the part where he said people stop him and ask about our scholarship numbers. Lol. That is like flagging down a farmer in his tractor and telling him you think he planted too many acres and won't be able to harvest them all in time.
I think the days of filling every positional need via high schoolers are over but win 8-9 this year and we’ll likely have several to chose from.I meant high school recruiting class. It would be good to get a high school running back recruit every year.

Came here to say this.4 star D. Dowdell is a stud.
I know he's not your typical HS recruit like some wanted but we still got him for 3 years. Try again for a HS RB in 25.Came here to say this.
Pretty good for IowaIowa still sucks.

They should just sign punters every year.Pretty good for Iowa
If you have depth you want the ranking. Take DR out and it’s not a great class, normal. Average ranking which we’re 27th is what shows depth for injuries or misses. Is the #16 ranking more a function of the quantity of recruits or average star ranking per recruit?

This team is old and has had bad classes so after this year it’s a drop off for DR’s last 2 years. Unless he goes to Georgia or a top program. I don’t think he will but kids want the spotlight and to be on tv and winning. Who knows.
Back to the Iowa board. You're used to shit classes over there. If you have depth you want the ranking. Take DR out and it’s not a great class, normal. Average ranking which we’re 27th is what shows depth for injuries or misses.

Without 5-star DR we still have Nine 4 stars. Iowa has two. Hey Herkies. 9 is a higher number than 2. We also have more 3 stars than Iowa. Get it? Iowa fans aren't really good at math.Take DR out and the class is still head and shoulders better Ioway..

If you and @RicoSuave102954 need help with math, may I suggest counting the number of times your hero Caitlyn Clark flops in one game. That might help.If you have depth you want the ranking. Agreed and not scrambling in February is awesome. Shows we were able to get the team we wanted early. The first class from Rhule already has a higher hit rate per recruit than any class of Frost's. It'll be very interesting to see the development side after a year in the program.
I trust their recruiting evaluations more than any coach since at least Callahan.
